Original lighthouse at West End of Killarney Channel
Built in 1866, in operation July 1, 1867
The West Light is located one mile northwest of Killarney, on Partridge Island (Badgeley Island is shown in the background of the above photo). It was built in 1866, in operation July 1, 1867, and rebuilt in 1909. Light keepers, who were also responsible for the lighthouse at the east end of Killarney Channel, included:
