NOTES:

I do not know if the "Alex Lamorandiere" named in the records above refers to Alex I, born 6 July 1806 and died 6 March 1900, or to his son Alex II, born 18 July 1843 and died 11 April 1919. They were both living at the time the files were made (1886-1888 and 1886-1887).

It is likely that "F" and "Fred" Lamorandiere refer to Frederic de la Morandiere, born 15 August 1828 at Spanish River. He was a son of Etienne Augustin Rocbert de la Morandiere and Josephte Sai-sai-go-no-kwe. He was also the Secretary for the Chippewas of Nawash (now located in Wiarton, Ontario) for Surrenders No. 213, No. 214, No. 222 (County of Gray,  1885), No. 226 (County of Bruce)
